Teenager Lee James Kilty, aged15, was reported missing from Northampton on 9 April but is believed to be in the Scunthorpe area where he is known to have friends.

The police say it's unusual for Lee to be missing for this length of time and there are concerns for his welfare.

He is described as white, 5’ 7” tall, of a slim build and with short ginger hair.

Anyone with information is being asked to get in touch with Humberside Police, external.

East Yorkshire MP Sir Greg Knight is calling on the government to launch an inquiry into the sale of illegal ivory by antiques dealers. 

Only ivory dating from before 1947 can be sold legally in the UK, but the MP thinks some dealers are selling more modern ivory, and passing it off as antiques - something he says is encouraging poachers to kill endangered elephants.

Thousands of the animals are killed illegally for their ivory every year.

North Yorkshire firefighters have been trying to rescue a stranded cow.

The helpless heifer got stuck on the banks of the River Ouse near Rawcliffe.

A vet has been working with Malton firefighters to sedate the cow and get it to safety.

An exhibition celebrating the culture and food of the Bantu people starts this weekend.

Many Bantu people from south of the equator in Africa now call Hull their home.

They will take a roadshow "Celebrating the Bantu", external around the city starting at the Edinburgh Street Community Centre on Saturday.    

There will be the opportunity for people to try Bantu crafts, sample new flavours and cultures through food, music and dance.

Four men and a 17-year-old youth have been handed three year football banning orders , externalfor their role in the violent disorder that followed Grimsby Town’s clash with Sheffield United in July last year.

Glasses, bottles and other items were thrown after a pre-season friendly between the two teams at Blundell Park.

Ten life-sized sculptures of figures marking the links between Hull and Iceland are to go on show at the University of Hull later this month.

The cast iron statues will form an art trail on the Cottingham Road campus and represent navigation markers known as Cairns, which are piles of stones used as landmarks in Iceland to guide both ships to the harbour and people on land.

They are part of the university's Cairns exhibition and have been produced by Icelandic artist Steinunn Thórarinsdóttir, who created the bronze 'Voyage' figure, which was stolen from the pier in 2011 and later replaced.

A specially commissioned composition will be performed by lecturer and trumpeter Dr Simon Desbruslais at the foot of the Voyage statue as part of John Grant's North Atlantic Flux: Sounds from Smoky Bay festival, external, which starts on 28 April.

The statement is in response to a report from HM Inspectorate of Constabulary who say more needs to be done to identify the wider risks that children may be facing.  

Temporary Deputy Chief Constable from Humberside Police Lee Freeman says "there really isn't anything more important than protecting children in our communities".

Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on Leads Road in Hull for the next five days. 

It's to allow Northern Gas Networks to upgrade gas mains. 

Work will last between 08:00 and 17:00 each day.

The 10 bronze statues are part of the University of Hull's Cairns exhibition which opens on 28 April.

A union representative says nurses are leaving the profession because they're not allowed to do the job properly and aren't being paid enough. 

The Royal College of Nursing is currently considering a strike over pay.

He was reported missing from his home on Dalwood Close, Bransholme, and has not been seen since 13:00 BST yesterday.

Christopher is white, 4’ 9” inches tall and of slim build. 

Humberside Police have described him as a vulnerable man, external.

That's the warning from Network Rail who say there were more than 900 cases of trespass on Yorkshire's railways.

The organisation says people are putting their lives at risk. 

Humberside Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft of power tools from a B&Q store  in Bridlington.

Two Makita Combi drills and four Makita Combi kits were stolen from the store on Quay Road around 11:00 on Monday.

The man was seen leaving the area in a silver Mercedes CLA Sport and anyone with any information is being asked to contact the police, external.
