The murder of 16-year-old Leonne Weeks on January 16 this year shocked the Dinnington community, and came just a month after Steven Fretwell was murdered at his home in nearby Laughton on December 18, 2016.

  12. Snap election: What to expect in West Yorkshire

    Analysis

    Richard Edwards

    Political Reporter, BBC Radio Leeds

Expect big battles to be fought in West Yorkshire between now and 8 June. That's because, in these unpredictable political times, no party activist dares to take a vote for granted.

    Ed Balls and Andrea Jenkyns

Our county is home to some of the most marginal constituencies in the country. Morley and Outwood is the eleventh tightest in the nation.

Andrea Jenkyns (pictured) took it from shadow chancellor turned ballroom dancer Ed Balls in 2010 - she's now defending a majority of 422. Across in Halifax, Holly Lynch will try to win again for Labour on a cushion of just 428 votes.

Expect a political streetfight in Leeds North West, where Greg Mulholland was one of the few Lib Dems to emerge from the wreckage of the 2015 result.

A big test of his 2907 majority will be his party's calls for a second EU referendum.

  13. Search for pair after £500 toothbrush theft

Police want to speak to these two people after toothbrushes worth more than £500 were stolen from a shop in York.

    Toothbrush theft

Yes, you read that right, two toothbrushes were taken from Boots in Monks Cross retail park, which are worth £270 each.

    That's a lot of toothbrush.

If you can help the police, you can pass any information you may have by calling 101.

  14. Specialist gym sessions in Sheffield

    Jenny Eells

    BBC Radio Sheffield reporter

After all that Easter chocolate you might be thinking about a trip to the gym to burn off those calories.

Easy enough you might think. Well, not for people with additional needs like autism, who can find these sort of trips terrifying.

Wisewood Sports Centre in Sheffield is doing its bit to combat this by offering specialist sessions for people with learning difficulties and I've been for a look at what they offer:

  15. Thousands of pounds stolen from OAP

Thousands of pounds has been stolen from the house of an elderly lady in Huddersfield.

    Keldergate

Detectives say it happened between 4 and 8 April at her home on Keldregate, in Bradley.

The burglars took £5,000 of her money and the police say they're appealing for any information about the theft.
