The risk of flying cricket balls isn't usually a problem for most developments.

It feared people and property could be struck by balls hit out of its ground.

But it wasn't enough to stop the plans being approved yesterday; a planning report said it was the club's job to ensure balls hit out of its ground didn't cause a nuisance.
