    Martin Lewes

    Reporter

We've now finished posting news, travel reports and one or two other nuggets from around the county, for today.  Here's a reminder:

We celebrated Gary McKee's achievement of raising £60,000 for a charity by running 100 marathons in 100 days, finished with London

We heard how a Carlisle teenager's written to every GP in the county about the need to be aware that young people can also suffer bowel cancer

And record numbers of people are now coming to Cumbria up the West Coast Main Line by train

We'll be back to do it again from 08:00 tomorrow.  As always, if you want to pass on news you think we should know, or share a photo with the county, you can email them to ussend them using Twitter where we're @bbc_cumbria or head to our Facebook page.

    Have a very good evening.

A series of 12 games with only one win led to some fans calling for Curle to be sacked.

  15. Reds head south for play-off

    BBC Radio Cumbria Sport

Workington Reds take on Stourbridge later in their Evo-Stik Northern Premier play-off semi-final.

League rules say the tie must be played when the home side usually play, so it's tonight rather than tomorrow.

It means joint-manager Dave Hewson's side will have played five games in 10 days, which he says is ridiculous but unavoidable.

Quote Message: We won't use it as an excuse. We're going to go and give it a right good go." from Dave Hewson Manager, Workington Reds

  20. Megan warns doctors of teenage cancer risk

A Cumbrian teenager's writing to every GP in Cumbria to alert them to the danger of missing cases of bowel cancer because doctors don't expect to find the disease in younger patients.

    Megan Pryde

Megan Pryde was at first thought to have appendicitis when she suffered severe stomach pains.

Doctors found a tumour on her bowel and she's now helping the charity Bowel Cancer UK raise awareness.

Dr Theo Weston, a GP from West Cumbria, says he's come across fewer than a handful of people Megan's age with the condition in 25 years of practice, but that shouldn't be a reason not to ask for tests.

Quote Message: It's important not to be put off by the costs of tests and what's in our normal diagnostic range from Dr Theo Weston Cumbrian GP
