Watch: GB awarded relay bronze after Jamaica disqualified

Great Britain will leave Doha with six medals, while United States have been sitting pretty at the top of the medal tree all tournament.

And there's been some... unusual moments.

We've seen records broken and fast times and jumps delivered all over the show.

Two of my favourite moments from these champs were Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce's storming 100m gold medal, and hometown hero Mutaz Essa Barshim defending his high jump title after 14 months out of action.

So that's the 2019 World Athletics Championships done and dusted.

Fear not - only 291 days to go until the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

In case you missed it, GB's men didn't finish in the men's 4x400m relay after Toby Harries and Rabah Yousif fumbled the second changeover.

Absolutely gutting for them.

The decision to bring the championships [to Doha], there were far more more negatives than positives. I think it was a mistake and I think the athletes would say the same thing.

The other thing we learned is that doping continues to be a problem in the sport and fans have zero tolerance for it. But I remind them that this sport leads in catching people and punishing people. That we should be proud of.

The athletes are always amazing. This sport is amazing. It's no surprise the athletes put on fantastic performances. Kudos to them.

Jamaica have indeed been disqualified.

So Great Britain's 4x400m team will be taking home a bronze medal, taking GB's tally at these Worlds to six.

I'm hearing Great Britain have won bronze in the women's 4x400m after Jamaica were disqualified.

So THAT'S why Laura Muir brought those spoons...

I don't think we should be pointing fingers at anyone but I think this is Rabah's fault.

He turns around thinking he's got it but he doesn't.

In 4x400m relay running, the outgoing runner should never take his eye off the incoming runner because he was slowing down very quickly.

The United States will leave Doha with 29 medals, including 14 golds, 11 silver and two bronze.

Kenya are second with 11 medals in total and Jamaica third with 12.

Great Britain leave with five medals - two golds and three silver - that leave them in sixth place overall.

GB's men's 4x400m relay team have been speaking to BBC TV.

Cameron Chalmers: "I did a reasonably good leg yesterday so I wanted to back that up today and put them in the best position I could.

"It's such a shame. I've had some disastrous moments in sport, everyone does, it's just horrible that we are stood in the middle of one right now.

Toby Harries: "Coming from a 200m background, my finish isn't too strong and I just lost the lift and I didn't place it directly in his hand. It's my fault and I went down."

Rabah Yousif: "We need a bit of depth in the team. That's why we started this young team today, to try new things. It's a hard pill to swallow having medalled in the past.

"It was the right time to try something new, it's a hard lesson to learn but we move on from here."

Lee Thompson: "Just being here on it's own is an encouraging moment. It doesn't happen to everybody. It takes a lot of hard work. I'm gutted we didn't get a run out today."

I was watching really carefully that particular change. Italy were moving, France were moving, Britain were moving.

Unfortunately, we came out the worst. It's really frustrating for the guys. Rabah's fuming with himself.

So, looking at it again..

Toby Harries thrust his hand forward at the changeover for the third leg and the baton brushed Rabah Yousif's palm.

Yousif seemed to get fingertips to it but Harries didn't let go, knowing Yousif wasn't in full control, and Harries falls to the ground, still holding the baton.
