Rob Lawrie, a former soldier from Guiseley, made headlines around the world when he was caught trying to get the child out of France but was stopped by French Authorities.
He faced smuggling charges, but was found guilty of a lesser charge of "endangering life" because he hid the girl in an unsafe way in a van.
Mr Lawrie says any money he makes from the film will allow him to continue his humanitarian aid work:

Officials are going to charge the same as they do for the rest of the year - because drivers already have to pay at private car parks.
Parking on Christmas Day would remain free.
The council says it'll monitor how people use on-street parking in the hope that motorists don't simply use private car parks, some of which are similarly priced, instead.

The 74-year-old was driving his MG along the the B6255 near White Scar Caves at about 11:30 when it was in collision with a silver Vauxhall Vectra travelling in the opposite direction.
North Yorkshire Police say they're looking for anyone who was in a black car which was following the Vectra as they may have important information about the crash.
A 70-year-old woman who was also in the MG was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A 30-year-old man from the Lancashire area was arrested at the scene and has been released without bail while investigations continue.

Warmer weather means more outdoor rescues
The warm weather has seen an increase in calls for help to Edale Mountain Rescue.
They say they were called out five times in 24 hours, mainly to help climbers, walkers and bikers falling and hurting themselves.
Officials said pay for sub-contractors working at the the Templeborough Biomass Power Plant, in Rotherham, was up to 61% below the agreed rate.
Union representatives have travelled to Copenhagen to protest outside the offices of Pension Danmark, which is financing the projects.
Pension Danmark's senior vice-president Jens-Christian Stougaard said: "Some of the points have been put forward before and there has been an ongoing dialogue between the parties involved."

There are delays of 30 minutes on the M62 eastbound between junctions 24 and 25, Elland and Brighouse, because of a crash.
It's not expected to clear until 17:45 at the earliest, with traffic still being affected for an hour afterwards.

Police officers across the county have paid tribute to the police officer killed in the Westminster attack last month.
PC Keith Palmer was guarding the Houses of Parliament when he was stabbed.
His funeral is taking place this afternoon at Southwark Cathedral in central London.

Hundreds of jobs are being created at a new train depot in South Yorkshire.
The Hitachi Rail Europe site in Doncaster cost around £80 million to build.
It'll maintain the new Intercity trains which will begin running on services from the North to London next year.
