Are personally targeted ads 'creepy'?
Channel 4 is now planning to target viewers by name when they access its catch up website. But are these type of adverts effective in engaging audiences or just annoying or even...creepy?
Josh Krichefski, the CEO the largest media advertising agency in the country, Mediacom UK, says that when the technology gets it wrong it can definitely be off-putting to consumers.
However, he argues that this type of advertising is not a completely new concept.
