This 148-foot 'vending machine' sells luxury cars

Ever had a vending machine swallow the 70p you shoved in for a chocolate bar? Well, you'd better pray this 148-foot luxury car dispenser in Singapore doesn't short-change you.

Basically a 15-storey stack of glass boxes, this 'vending machine' offers customers a choice of 60 sports cars.

£260,000 Lamborghini Aventador, anyone? Or a £160,000 vintage Ferrari 512M?

Customers make their selection through an app and, two minutes later, their car is delivered to street level.

Extraordinary as it may be, this is not the first (or the most extravagant) luxury vending machine.

This one sells 24-carat gold bars.

Looks like this post is no longer available from its original source. It might've been taken down or had its privacy settings changed.

Or this vending machine in Beverly Hills will sell you an ounce of Imperial Beluga Caviar for $500 (£388).

And here's a champagne vending machine in London, which will fire out a 200ml bottle for 18 quid.

Our favourite, though, is probably this one in Miami.

It's a semi-automated vending machine that has sold everything from 24-carat-gold handcuffs to $150,000 (£116,300) Bentleys and $1.2m (£931,300) penthouses.

We're not sure how you fit a penthouse in a vending machine.

But then, after that 15-story car dispenser, maybe anything's possible.
