  2. Yorkshire has three of the best in Britain

    Next time you moan about the weather, just remember we've got three of the nation's favourite forecasters in the county!

    BBC Look North's Keeley Donovan, Owain Wyn Evans and Paul Hudson have all been named in a Radio Times poll to find Britain's favourite weather presenter.

    Paul came fifth, Owain sixth and Keeley eighth in the vote which saw national weatherman Tomasz Schafernaker come first.

    The darkly comic tale of two sexually confident working-class Bradford teenagers might have charmed the critics - but many closer to home failed to see the joke at the time.

  5. Police search for 'muscular man' after sexual assault on jogger

    A woman in her 30s has been sexually assaulted as she was out jogging in Knottingley, near Wakefield, on Sunday.

    It happened at 10:30 on the canal towpath under the bridge at Bridge Lane/Hill Top on the north side of the canal.  

    A man came up to the woman and sexually assaulted her. He left when a woman walking her dog came along the towpath.  

    Police are looking for a man in his 30s, around 6ft tall, of muscular build and with broad shoulders with tanned or olive-skin. He has light brown hair with white highlights in it.

  6. Have you seen Christopher Evers?

    This is Christopher Evers, he has been missing since this morning after he left his home in Doncaster.

    Christopher was last seen at around 09:30 at his house in the Scawthorpe, he has not been seen or heard from since.

    He was last seen wearing dark jeans, a grey t-shirt and a navy blue waterproof jacket.

  7. Doncaster gardener celebrates gold at Chelsea Flower Show

    A Doncaster gardener has won a gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show.

    Graham Bodle won a gold in the Artisan Garden category for his Walker's Wharf Garden.

    The garden features a derelict industrial wharf and was created from recycled materials.

  8. Woman hit by car in Leeds

    A woman has been left with serious injuries after she was hit by a car on York Road in Leeds this morning.

    It happened at about 08:50 when a red Toyota Aygo was travelling along the A64 York Road out of Leeds city centre towards Killingbeck.

    The 27-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for urgent medical treatment. 

  9. Lady Susan Zetland 'ignored signs' before three-vehicle smash

    An aristocrat caused a three-vehicle crash after ignoring signs which said a turning on to a busy highway was closed, a jury heard.

    Lady Susan Zetland was driving to the gym when she tried to turn right at the Hargill junction of the A66, near Scotch Corner, in North Yorkshire.

    Teesside Crown Court heard there were signs warning motorists the turning was closed and cones preventing it. Lady Zetland, of Aske Hall, near Richmond, denies dangerous driving.

    The trial continues.

  10. Sheffield pub allowed to re-open after violence closure

    A pub in Darnall will reopen despite being the scene of eight disturbances and assaults since January 2015.

    Two men were attacked last month at the Terminus Tavern on Main Road in Darnall.

    There was a licensing meeting earlier and the decision was made to reopen the pub with strict conditions.

    If you were stuck on the M62 this afternoon just over an hour-and-a-half ago, this is why:

    Someone's holiday got off to a very bad start after their caravan overturned between J26 and J25 westbound.

    Queues quickly formed up behind it but the road fully reopened at about 14:30.

    The Mid-Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce say that tens-of-millions-of-pounds will be invested in the area after the club's victory.

    And they've a right to make such big predictions now that people all over the world will be aware of the town.

    The chamber of commerce added: "The global exposure is a unique opportunity for the town to attract inward investment on an extraordinary scale.”

  13. York event encourages same sex couples to hold hands

    An event aimed at tackling the fear some LGBT people have of holding their partner's hand in public takes place in York later today

    Hold Hands With Pride is the theme of York Pride for 2017.

    The event will be held in front of Clifford's Tower from 19:30.
