But for the people of East Ferry, near Gainsborough, their polling station will be in someone's conservatory!

Andrea Pettit's getting her house ready now to welcome voters tomorrow.

She's been doing it for the past six or so years after the pub in the village, which used to be the polling station, closed.

Andrea is the parish clerk for the village, and so offered up her home for people to come along, vote and have a cuppa.

Lincoln City manager Danny Cowley says he's been meeting potential new signings today.

The Imps haven't signed anyone this summer, but Cowley says they are closing in on some new additions.

A housing charity in North East Lincolnshire says it's going to invest £6m a year into improving its properties over the next 10 years.

Shoreline Housing Partnership has pledged to install new kitchens, bathrooms, roofs, windows and doors as well as heating and electrical systems.

More than 2,700 homes will be improved, the charity says.

Last week,it announced it was shutting three sheltered accomodation sites for elderly and disabled people.

Undercover police officers have been targeting hotels in the Yorkshire and Humber region as part of a crackdown on child sexual exploitation.

Officers in plain clothing accompanied by a child visited a number of hotels across the region, including in Hull and Scunthorpe, to see if staff would ask for identification when they tried to book a double room.

Staff at hotels and other licensed premises have been offered training in how to recognise signs of abuse.

The police say there were 63 cases where children were sexually abused in hotels or bed and breakfasts in the Yorkshire and Humber region in 2015 and 2016.

Det Supt Simon Beldon says: "I am pleased that the vast majority of establishments passed the test, although slightly disappointed that most only turned the officer and child away rather than actually report them to us. Only three establishments - including one in Scunthorpe - did do that."

A woman and two children have been injured, one seriously, in a crash involving a car and a lorry in Grimsby.

It happened on King Edward Street at about 15:45 on Tuesday and involved a white Volvo lorry and a black Renault Clio.

One of the children was taken to Sheffield Children's Hospital with what police are describing as "potentially life-threatening" head injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is being asked to contact police.

It seems the sunshine may be heading back behind the clouds as we go further into the afternoon and evening.

Hospital managers in Oxford say they've changed their procedures following the death of a transplant patient from Lincolnshire.

Leigh Robbins, 53, from Sleaford, died last year after receiving an infected pancreas after a blood sample mix-up.

An inquest found he died from complications of an infection he developed because of the procedure.

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has apologised to his family.

Dr Tony Berendt, the trust's medical director, says he's written to the family expressing their sincere apologies - and says several significant changes have been made to its procedures:

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information after a charity collection box for people with cancer was stolen from a bakery in Horncastle.

CCTV from the Myers Bakery appears to show a man taking the box which funds leukaemia and lymphoma research.

The police say it happened on Wednesday 17 May. No arrests have been made as yet:

Lincolnshire athletes Hollie Arnold, from Holton le Clay, and Kieran Tscherniawsky, from Heckington, have both been named in the GB squad for the World Para Athletics Championships in London this summer.

Hollie will compete in the F46 Javelin.

The 11-year-old has gone through six rounds of chemotherapy and says she doesn't know what she'd do without Genie.

Following news that vandals have caused about £1,000 worth of damage to beach huts in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire Police say few of these acts of vandalism have actually been reported.

Some of the huts were damaged last month, and this time it's two of East Lindsey District Council's flagship Bathing Beauties beach huts - the Camera Obscura and the Gin and Tonic.

Lincolnshire Police say patrols will now be increased and patrol plans will be built around areas where the problems are.

However, Mablethorpe PCSO Billy Spence has asked local residents to get in touch if they become aware of problems in their area.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle when she was crossing the road.

The girl, who sustained minor injuries, was walking to school at about 08:30 on Monday morning near Lidl in Sleaford.

The vehicle involved was a blue Ford Focus.

Police are appealing for help in finding a woman from Cleethorpes who's been missing since last month.

Julie Ann Repton, 30, went missing after leaving for work from her home on St Hellier's Road at about 05:00 on Friday 19 May.

She's not been seen or contacted her family since then, and her family is growing increasingly concerned and want her to get in touch to let them know she's safe and well.

Julie is described as being 5ft 5ins tall, of slim build with shoulder-length wavy red hair. She was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans and was carrying a white backpack.

She also had her blue and white GT Tempest bike with her.

Anyone with information about Julie's whereabouts is being asked to contact police.

It's a windy morning on the roads and the Humber Bridge is currently closed to high-sided vehicles.

Also watch out for the 30mph speed limit which is currently in place on the bridge in both directions.

Paramedics and 999 call handlers in Lincolnshire are urging local residents to take the time to learn what to do if you find someone choking.

Last month East Midlands Ambulance Service received 144 choking-related calls.
