Herve Berville: new blood for President Macron's politics

France's first round of legislative elections is happening on Sunday. All eyes will be set on the performance of the President Emmanuel Macron's new "Republique en Marche" (Republic on the Move). The new centrist party is putting forward several hundred candidates from grassroots movements and civil society. One of them is 27-year-old Herve Berville. Born in Rwanda, he was adopted by a French family during the genocide. He went on to study economics and worked in Mozambique and Kenya. He's dropped everything to go into politics and has told BBC Newsday he has every reason to believe he will win despite his young age and lack of political experience.
