The home crowd ramp up the vocal support for Heather Watson during that tense tie-break... but it is to no avail.

The defence continues!

Britain's Gordon Reid and Alfie Hewett have progressed to the men's wheelchair doubles final with a 6-4 4-6 6-2 victory over Shingo Kunieda of Japan and Gustavo Fernandez of Argentina.

The 2016 champions will now play Stephane Houdet and Nicolas Peifer of France, in a repeat of last year's final.

The second set is a tighter affair than the first out on Centre Court with Marcelo Demoliner and Maria Martinez Sanchez holding serve with some ease.

Still the proposals rain down on Heather Watson and Henri Kontinen. Even Bruno Soares has received one. Poor Elena Vesnina is the only one still waiting.
