It's been an up and down summer for Scotland but they have ended it in the best possible fashion with a resounding, record victory in Argentina.
After a bit of a turkey shoot in victory over Canada, the Scots were stunned by the USA in Houston as an inexperienced side went down 30-29.
Tonight's display in Resistencia was the best possible response and players such as George Horne, Adam Hastings and Magnus Bradbury will feel they have advanced their cases for inclusion in future Scotland squads.

"It was class. Obviously we were fairly disappointed after last week. We knew we had to come out and be physical and aggressive and I think we did that tonight. We put on a good show. It was class.
"It was great going up by 20 points at the start. It put us in a great position to play the territory game. When the rain came down we just had to play smart, play in the right areas and we did that really well. I thought Adam (Hastings) was outstanding at 10.
"It was a massive honour to get my first cap last week and it was even sweeter getting the victory tonight. It was great fun."

A tumultous first half gave way to a flat second half, not that Scotland will care about that.
This was a terrific win, a really fine response to last week and a big night for young players like Adam Hastings and George Horne.
Scotland have had awful trouble on the road in recent times but this was a systematic dismantling of a team that deserved to be systematically dismantled.
Argentina were hopeless and Scotland exposed them and handed them a proper hiding. A very, very strong finish to this tour.

Well what a bonkers match that was.
A flying start to the match saw Scotland run in five tries before the break and effectively end the contest. George Horne grabbed his first tries for Scotland, captain Stuart McInally crossed as did Blair Kinghorn and Magnus Bradbury.
Argentina were desperately poor in that opening period. They improved somewhat after the break, with Tomas Lezana and substitute Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias going over for tries either side of Dougie Fife's touchdown for Scotland.
A good Scotland performance against a pretty ordinary Pumas side.
Classy Cancelliere
Argentina 15-44 Scotland
Sebastian Cancelliere is the one man in Argentina colours who has brought the home fans to their feet. The fleet-footed wing gets his hands on the ball again and goes haring up the left touchline but is harshly judged to have put a foot in touch.
They have failed to reach anything like the heights of the first half after the break but Scotland are looking to finish with a flourish.
They force a line-out deep in the Argentina 22 but are turned over and Argentina can clear upfield.
Standards slipping

After that breathless period of try-scoring to start the half it's all gone a bit quiet at the moment.
Argentina finally string a few nice passes together to set winger Sebastian Cancelliere free, but the play is called back for a forward pass.
Scotland have dropped a few balls too and with a raft of changes on both sides the match is going through a bit of a lull.

Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias
The Pumas get some impetus from one of their replacements.
From an attacking scrum 10m out on the left, substitute Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias comes crashing into the midfield on a wonderful angle to shrug off a couple of tackles and force his way over the line.
It's a try-scoring international debut for Iglesias, though perhaps not in the circumstances he would have hoped with his side hopelessly outplayed this evening.

Dougie Fife
This is akin to a training session for Scotland now.
It's all too easy as the Scots launch a first-phase attack from the scrum, Adam Hastings feeds Stuart Hogg who fires a wonderful long pass to Dougie Fife to canter in for the score.
We can talk about the woeful defending but Scotland deserve credit because their execution in attack has been right on point tonight.
Six tries and surely more to come.

It's not pretty but it is a try for the Pumas.
They look to have botched their own attacking 5m line-out but Ben Toolis' attempted steal rebounds into the arms of Tomas Lezana to dive over.
Scotland pick up where they left off. It's Adam Hastings and George Horne combining again to take Scotland deep into enemy territory.
When the ball is recycled the ball is loose and the referee calls back the play for a previous infringement. We are then treated to an Adam Hastings round-the-back pass, and an even more incredible sight, a through-the-legs pass from lock Grant Gilchrist!
Confidence is clearly high in the Scottish ranks.

Scotland are well on their way to their record win in Argentina, and possibly a record win over the Pumas anywhere.
Their previous biggest margin of victory in six Tests in Argentina was 12 points, a 26-14 victory at Velez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires in 2008.
Their biggest win overall came in the first ever meeting between the countries in 1990, when Scotland prevailed 49-3 at Murrayfield.
The way things are going, Scotland could surpass that with some comfort.

The Scots have crossed for five tries - two from George Horne and one apiece for Stuart McInally, Magnus Bradbury and Blair Kinghorn.

As much as you have to admire the ruthlessness of the Scottish display, it is hard to ignore just how shocking Argentina have been. As recently as the 2015 World Cup they were deserved semi-finalists. On this evidence they will not be mounting much of a challenge in Japan next year.

It's the young half-back pairing at it again to unlock the Pumas. I say unlock, but the Pumas have left the back door open, the front door open and every window in the place.
George Horne dinks a delicate little chip over the top, Adam Hastings leaps highest to palm it back and Horne is there again to gather and dive over.
Scotland well on their way to a record victory over Argentina.
