  2. Police extend opening hours of 'Corrie' pod

A police pod which enables people to view CCTV from the night Corrie Mckeague went missing, is staying open beyond its original time of 17:00 today, to allow more people access to the material.

The pod has been set up at the Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre, and police say because so many people have wanted to assist, they'll keep it open until 20:00 at the latest, depending on the level of interest.

  7. Bus subsidies cut by almost 25% since 2010

    Chris Bond

    BBC Sunday Politics East

Bus subsidies in Suffolk have been cut by almost a quarter since 2010, and campaigners warn of further cuts to come.

    Bus in Ipswich town centre

Suffolk County Council has cut its spending by £1,043,000 since 2010, but it hopes the Buses Bill will help it improve services without spending more money.

James Finch, Conservative councillor with responsibility for highways and transport, said more data would be available to local bus companies as a result of the new legislation.

"So we can have through-ticketing, more visibility and live time scales on the buses," he said.

"And then you can actually start placing orders and booking tickets on your mobile phone."

You can see more on this story on the BBC Sunday Politics East on Sunday, 27 November at 11:00 on BBC1.

  8. Ipswich Town: McCarthy gets the backing of rival manager

    Brenner Woolley

    BBC Radio Suffolk sport

QPR boss Ian Holloway has described Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy as one of his "favourite people in the game" ahead of their meeting tomorrow.

    Mick McCarthy and Ian Holloway

Holloway also told the QPR website that any talk of McCarthy being under pressure is wide of the mark.

“They were in a difficult situation when he arrived there, when they were struggling towards the bottom of the table and he guided them to a strong finish. That was a remarkable piece of management.

“They’ve competed ever since then, and Mick deserves credit for that. He’s one of my favourite people in the game.”

  9. Boxing board suspends Ogogo's licence

    Graeme Mac

    BBC Radio Suffolk sport

The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBC) has suspended Lowestoft boxer Anthony Ogogo's licence pending the receipt of medical papers.

    Anthony Ogogo

It follows the 28-year-old's first defeat as a professional last month, when his WBC International Middleweight Title fight with Craig Cunningham was stopped at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham.

Ogogo's team released a statement afterwards confirming that the Suffolk man had suffered a broken eye socket.

Team Sauerland, Ogogo's managers, also indicated that he had suffered the injury before entering the ring, something the BBBC said had not been declared at the time.

Colin Weeding, 27, of no fixed abode (pictured left), and Darryl Malone, 25, of Harvey Road, Colchester, were found guilty at Ipswich Crown Court in August, of conspiracy to commit robbery.

Sian Warner, 25, of Stonechat Road in Ipswich, was given an 18-month suspended sentence for the same offence, while Courtney Parker, 18, of Campion Road in the town, was sentenced to a community order and a curfew for conspiracy to conceal criminal property.

A fifth person is due to be sentenced next month.

The charges came from three robberies - at Dales Road Post Office, a Corals Bookies on Stoke Park Drive, and the robbery of a G4S driver in Lovetofts Drive.

    Mick McCarthy and Ian Holloway

The former Blackpool and Crystal Palace boss is one of the games most colourful characters, well known for his witty one-liners and off-the-wall soundbites.

McCarthy told BBC Suffolk Sport: "Without any shadow of a doubt he's better than that. He's deadly serious about his football, he loves his football. You can see how enthusiastic he is about it.

"His teams are well coached, well organised and he's a good manager who seems to get the best out of people."

  14. Ipswich Town: Home form needs to improve - Berra

    Brenner Woolley

    BBC Radio Suffolk sport

Ipswich Town defender Christophe Berra admits they need to find a way of breaking teams down at Portman Road, starting with QPR tomorrow.

    Christophe Berra

"We've probably drawn too many games at home," said Berra. "Hopefully we can get the first goal and make teams come at us and the game will be a bit more open.

"In the past we've struggled when teams sit in and there's no space in behind and we find them difficult to break down. It's always difficult when teams get men behind the ball."

Town have won just one of their last six home games.
