If it had been Rafa winning this tournament, it takes him to 18 - I don't see anyone winning the French next year other than Rafa - so it's amazing to think that Roger on 20 is still in danger of being overtaken, this brings Novak back into the equation.
Roger is sitting pretty, but Rafa has a chance of overtaking him.

but when you reflect on Anderson’s last three matches, he had to play the match
of his life against Federer from two sets down.
Then he has to play the new match of
his life against Isner. Then to come back on finals day to beat Djokovic is a step
too far.
He showed guts and
determination, he hung in there and created opportunities. If he could have got
the third set there might have been a second wind.
