  1. Thanks and goodbye

And that is the end for this live page.

The match report is here and you can follow all the reaction from today's Premier League matches here.

Thanks for joining us and bye for now.

  2. FULL-TIME

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

And that is it. All over. A great point for the visitors. Southampton will feel like it is two points dropped.

  3. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

It looked like Tadic wanted it, but Maya Yoshida takes the free-kick instead, it just goes wide. Just after Charlie Austin hits the side netting and that could be it.

  4. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Free kick for Southampton on the edge of the box. Dusan Tadic to take it.

  5. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Time is running out for the hosts. This would be a great point for Swansea.

  6. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

A penalty shout for Southampton as the ball hits Kyle Bartley's arms. The defender has his arms raised but the shot was at close-range to him.

  7. 'It is just not happening for him today'

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

    Martin Keown

Former Arsenal defender on Football Focus

Dusan Tadic should do better. He has got a great left foot, but it just is not happening for him today.

  8. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Another chance for Dusan Tadic. How are Southampton not winning this one? This time Tadic narrowly curls a shot over the top from the edge of the penalty area.

  9. SUBSTITUTION

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Swansea look to be happy with a point as striker Tammy Abraham goes off, to be replaced by defender Kyle Bartley.

  10. GREAT SAVE!

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Dusan Tadic should have scored earlier on and has just forced an excellent save from Lukasz Fabianski, who pushed over Tadic's 25-yard piledriver.

Moments later Maya Yoshida, unmarked at the back post, heads over the top from close range when he should have done better.

  11. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

And now another corner, Southampton's 12th, and again it doesn't beat the first man at the near post. Mauricio Pellegrino's evident frustration is matched by most of the crowd.

  12. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Nope. Another corner wasted from Southampton. Swansea to steal a win against all odds? We've seen it happen before when a home team has all the ball, all the chances, all the corners and lose.

  13. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

A panicky header from Kyle Naughton, who heads behind for a corner under no pressure. Is this Southampton's time?

  14. SUBSTITUTION

Sofiane Boufal's first involvement is to swing in a free-kick, but Swansea goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is off his line impressively to gather the ball.

Now it is Paul Clement's turn to look to the bench as Jay Fulton replaces captain Leon Britton for the visitors, with Wayne Routledge taking the armband.

  15. SUBSTITUTION

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

They opt for a short corner, but Swansea, as they have been all day, are organised enough to see off the danger. Another change for the hosts as James Ward-Prowse comes off with Sofiane Boufal the second Southampton substitution.

  16. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Two corners prove unsuccessful for the Saints, but now they have a third.

  17. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Manolo Gabbiadini, on the edge of the penalty area, spins to create some space, but drags a pass / shot across the face of goal and the chance evaporates. Maybe they will have more luck with the set-piece. And just before a corner can be taken, that is the end for Gabbiadini as he jogs off with Charlie Austin sent on to make an impact.

    Charlie Austin
  18. Swans holding firm

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

    Michael Pearlman

BBC Wales Sport at St Mary's

While there can be little doubt Southampton have created the most chances, Swansea optimism about leaving Hampshire with a valuable point must be increasing.

They are well in this game now and with Leroy Fer's shot just wide, have created the best chance in the second half.

This might be a good time to mention that the Saints have not won at home on the opening day of the season since 1988!

  19. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

If Southampton do sell Virgil van Dijk they may put some of that money towards a new centre-forward. They have looked solid at the back, and the build-up has been promising, but they are failing to breach a well-organised Swansea defence at the moment.

    Andre Ayew
  20. Post update

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

The second half has not been as lively as the first. Southampton have had 16 attempts at goal in the match, but only one on target. Swansea still to test Fraser Forster. Some shooting practice needed for both sides.
