  1. Farewell

And that, my friends, is all from me at a still sunny Wembley.

    Before you head off though...

Then you can leave. Put BBC2 on now for MOTTY NIGHT.

There can be no finer way to cap this day of utter Britishness...

  2. 'I can't change'

    Chelsea

One more chunk of Conte: "I think after two years the club knows me very well. The club knows me very well. If they want to continue to work with me, they know me. I can't change. I can't change.

"My way is always the same. Hard work and to build a strong mentality with my players. I can't change. I can't change. I'm this. I'm this and I think my past speaks very clear as a player and as a manager"

  3. Post update

Antonio Conte should move into politics when he's done with football. He's managed to avoid saying if he's staying or not pretty much all season.

    What do we think?

  4. So are you staying or not?

    Chelsea win the FA Cup

More from Antonio Conte: "I have a contract and I'm committed for this club. I think from the start of this season, because don't forget the speculation started after our first defeat against Burnley, my position was always the same: I'm committed for this club, despite a lot of speculation.

"One day I had the possibility to go to the national team, one day this team, one day another important team. In every press conference I always say I'm committed to this club, to respect my contract. As you know very well our job is not simple. I understand that the club can make a decision, a positive decision, a negative decision.

"I'm the first to understand. I'm the coach of a great, important club, in England and the world. It's right that the club demands of me a lot. I think you have to understand if in this season we had the maximum or not. There is also this possibility with this group of players we did the maximum. I have great respect for my club. For sure we'll make the best decision. I'm the first to accept every decision for the future. After these two seasons I will always love this colour, these fans, this club. Also if my future must be in a different way."

  5. 'I'm a serial winner'

    Chelsea win the FA Cup

    Chelsea

    Antonio Conte

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte: "When you are used to winning every season – don't forget I was used to winning every season – this type of season can try to create some problems in yourself.

"When you have this type of season there are moments that you have a lot of questions for yourself. But I think, also in this season, in a difficult season like this, I showed I'm a serial winner. This is the truth. To win in this way this season give me more satisfaction than my wins in the past."

  8. Post update

Stat fans: Despite their seemingly different approaches, Manchester United made exactly the same number of passes in each half (293).

Video caption: FA Cup Final - Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United: FA Cup win 'saved our season' - Gary Cahill

Chelsea captain Gary Cahill says beating Manchester United 1-0 to lift the 2018 FA Cup final has saved their season.

  10. Transfer window = open

    Leicester City

As we are still waiting for Antonio Conte to face the BBC cameras here's a bit of breaking transfer news for you.

Leicester City have agreed terms with FC Porto for the transfer of defender Ricardo Pereira.

Ricardo, 24, arrived in Leicester on Saturday to finalise personal terms on a five-year contract and complete a medical. His move to City will be complete when international transfer clearance is received on 9 June.

  11. "I prefer to lose like we did today"

    Chelsea win the FA Cup

    Manchester United

More from Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho: "My opinion on my team's performance is that every defeat hurts, but for me personally the ones that hurt less is when you give everything and you go without any regrets.

"I prefer to lose like today than lose like we did at, for example, Newcastle. I leave my players happy with them. For me that's really important."

  12. Post update

There are nine men currently mowing the Wembley pitch, another nine prodding it with forks and three dragging what look like large brooms across the surface.

How much does grass grow in 90 minutes?

  13. 'Chelsea so predictable'

    Chelsea win the FA Cup

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho: "I think our team did a fantastic defensive job without defending. We controlled positions, transitions really well.

"They only played long balls to Giroud to flick. When you play against a team so predictable it's quite easy to adapt to it. I thought we wouldn't concede any goal in this match. But of course Hazard is a very good player and he created a penalty."

  15. Cupset on the cards?

    Bayern Munich 0-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

    German Bundesliga

In Germany the cup final is not going to script - Bayern are losing!

  16. Post update

    Chelsea 1-0 Man Utd

That Thibaut Courtois save from Marcus Rashford was a big moment. Great stop.

The only fans still inside the stadium are a tiny pocket down near the pitch which I presume are friends and family of the Chelsea players.

  17. Motty night

DSS Brooks: Let’s be honest, it was a poor final from two joyless teams with the winner being the better at sucking the life out of the game.

Sho Rahman: Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez need to go. Marcus Rashford needs to man up but more importantly Jose Mourinho needs to look at himself and the brand of football we're playing. So much focus on the opposition we're pathetic in the final third.
