Norwich City 1-1 Hull City

Nelson Oliveira headed an equaliser six minutes into injury time to rescue a point for Norwich City at home to 10-man Hull City.

The Tigers looked set for a first away win of the season when, from Markus Henriksen's through ball, Nouha Dicko went clear to tuck his first goal for the club past the advancing Angus Gunn.

Hull had David Meyler sent off on 57 minutes for a second bookable offence.

And Cameron Jerome set up Oliveira to snatch a point for the Canaries.

Norwich, who are now unbeaten in eight games, climbed above East Anglian neighbours Ipswich Town into eighth in the Championship table.

Since losing 4-0 to Millwall in August, they have won four and drawn two of their six league matches, conceding just three goals.

Despite just failing to hang on with 10 men for 39 minutes, Hull climbed two places to 15th, as the division's top scorers notched only their fifth goal away from home this season.

But Meyler's red card ended a mixed week for the Hull midfielder, who captained the Republic of Ireland to World Cup victory against Wales in Cardiff in midweek, only to collect an injury-time booking in that game that rules him out of next month's play-off first leg.

He was shown the yellow card for his 24th-minute late tackle on James Maddison, before then being sent off after pulling down Yanic Wildschut.

Norwich City boss Daniel Farke told BBC Radio Norfolk:

"I'm so happy for the lads that they were able to score in the end. We totally deserved at least a point.

"Sometimes it is brilliant to have an easy game and win 5-0 but a moment like this is the most amazing in football.

"I want to bring to the lads an attitude that whatever happens you must fight and in the end you will benefit.

(On the number of injuries the squad has) "If we have only 11 players then that's how many we will have. Maybe my assistant coach will have to play next week. I hope the situation will be better but we will see."

Hull City head coach Leonid Slutsky told BBC Radio Humberside:

"I feel all the terrible feelings together.

"It's hard for me to analyse the goal because it was the last minute and the last throw in of the game.

"We played 10 against 11 for 35 minutes and we showed character and good discipline but we have conceded five goals at the end of games now.

"I'm proud of our level and how well we played, especially after an international break. Seven of our 11 of our players were away with their national teams."
