Wimbledon: Relive the action as Williams sets up Halep final

Strycova never felt like she had any time to react. Look at the way Serena was able to manipulate that ball and get it up and down. There was so much consistency. She is locked in.

The crowd didn't necessarily want Serena to lose. They just wanted to see more of her. Strycova wasn't able to handle the power. How quickly was Serena getting on those balls though? She did her homework and it paid off. She was firing on all cylinders.

Serena Williams is a heavy favourite in this match because of the head to head, because of the power - and if Serena continues to play and serve this way it will be tough for Simona.

Halep will have to play the match of her life. She must find the angles and find a way to get balls back in play.

Serena was changing the direction of the ball all the time. Strycova was off balance all the time. She did all she could to defend it but that was all she had.

Serena's serve is hard and it's powerful. How can you defend when it's that powerful and near the sidelines? I think the mixed doubles [with Andy Murray] really helped as well. It brought her intensity up. She had three matches with Andy and we know how intense he is.

Simona Halep is using her angles to widen the court and she is starting to feel comfortable on it. That is half of the battle right there.

Simona Halep showed the experience that she has had deep in majors. She has been in the semi-finals here at Wimbledon. It felt like Simona was closer to the baseline more often and was dictating play.

On still going strong at 37:"I love what I do, I wake up every morning and I get to be fit and play sport and play in front of crowds like here at Wimbledon - not everyone can do that. I love what I do, I'm still pretty good at what I do and it's always an amazing experience."

On facing Simona Halep in the final:"We always have tough matches. This was a tough match for me and I look forward to it."

Serena Williams speaking on BBC One about reaching an 11th Wimbledon final: "It's good, especially after my year. It definitely feels good to be back in the final."

On her improvements in the tournament so far: "It's definitely a lot better, I just needed some matches. I know I'm improving and I just needed to feel good and then I can do what I do best which is play tennis."

I think that was the best match I have seen Serena play at the tournament so far.

She will fancy her chances with the way she played today, no doubt.
