The organiser of Coventry's Godiva Festival and the city's Shop Front Theate were among the recipients of the annual Coventry and Warwickshire Tourism and Culture Awards last night.
The main awards were handed out to 14 organisations, with a clutch of special awards going to those deemed to have made a key contribution to the region - among them Aubrey Allen butchers, The Episode Hotel and Ricoh Arena.
Lee House was also a recipient and described as a "legend" for her work as director of Godiva Festival.
Two-car crash leaves man in hospital
A man was injured in a crash involving two cars in Cheylesmore yesterday.
It happened at about 16:20 on Black Prince Road at the junction of Arundel Road.
A 72-year-old man was taken to hospital where his
condition, police said, was described as stable.
The driver of the other vehicle stopped at
the scene and is assisting officers with their investigations.
