A van used to fly-tip waste in Rotherham has been crushed by the council.
The Ford Transit was flattened after its owner Glynn Atkinson, 53, was caught on CCTV using it to dump rubbish in country lanes, according to the council.
Atkinson, of Osberton Street, Rawmarsh, admitted three breaches of environmental law and was sentenced at Sheffield Magistrates' Court:

Karon Grieve, from Dunlop in Ayrshire, described her flight with Leeds-based Jet2 from Glasgow to the Greek island - which normally carries 189 passengers - as "surreal".
She was given the VIP treatment after two other passengers booked on the flight failed to turn up.
Jet2 said it was "not unusual" for the final flight of the season to have fewer bookings than normal.

Emergency crews were called after a white Mercedes box van and a blue Audi Quattro collided on the B1257 near Stokesley at about 10:20 this morning.
The road remains closed and police are at the scene investigating what happened.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Receptionist praised for delivering baby in car park
A hotel receptionist at a South Yorkshire service station has been praised for her help and quick thinking in delivering a baby in a car park.

Karen Dyass, who works at the hotel at Doncaster North Service Station, came to the aid of Heather and Matthew McSharry when Heather's waters broke on their way to the hospital.
Ms Dyass was guided by medics over the phone and had to clear the baby's airway as he was not breathing and mend his snapped umbilical cord with a shoelace.
The McSharry family had stopped at the service station on 14 October as their two-year-old son needed the toilet.
Police release pictures of Leeds baseball bat attack victim
Police in Leeds have taken the unusual step of releasing pictures of a man who was attacked with a baseball bat in an attempt to find the person who did it.

Francis Manda, 43, had been to Lupton Stores in Harehills when he was attacked by someone with a baseball bat between 16:00 and 16:15 on Friday 29 September.
Mr Manda received a serious blow to his head and has not left hospital since the attack.

Police say they don't know exactly where the attack took place and despite investigating the assault, they have struggled to find out who did it.
Officers say Mr Manda is "very unwell" and that they have released the pictures in a bid to track the attacker down.

Lorry-top fracking protester arrested
A protester who climbed onto a lorry bound for a North Yorkshire fracking site has been arrested.

According to North Yorkshire Police, the man climbed down from the lorry which was heading for the Kirby Misperton site at about 14:10 and was arrested on suspicion of holding on to a motor vehicle in motion.
Third Energy has not received final consent to begin fracking at the site in Ryedale, but expects to start before the end of the year.
Fracking is the process of drilling down into the earth to release the gas inside. Opponents say it can cause water contamination and earthquakes.
A 30-year-old woman has gone missing from Elland in West Yorkshire.

Kerry Gladwin was last seen on Wednesday 18 October in Sowerby Bridge.

The redevelopment of Northallerton's former prison has moved a step closer.

Hambleton District Council and Hull-based regeneration company Wykeland Group have formed a joint venture for what's described as the town's most significant regeneration scheme for decades.
Proposals for the disused site include retail units, a heritage centre, apartments, restaurants and an area for public events.
A planning application is due to submitted in the first quarter of 2018.

A 79-year-old man has been left with a serious head injury after he was knocked down in Wakefield yesterday evening.

He was crossing a road in Horbury town centre at about 19:35 on Tuesday when he was hit by a red Suzuki Alto which was going from Cluntergate onto Twitch Hill.
The man was taken to hospital where he was treated for his head injury.
The driver of the car stopped and spoke to police at the scene.
Officers say they want any witnesses to come forward.

Paralympian and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Jonnie Peacock has been in Sheffield to unveil a new playground.

The state-of-the-art playground at Phillimore Primary in Darnall has had a makeover costing about £50,000.
The primary school won the playground after pupils participated in a programme which encourages young people to take part in inclusive sport.

More details have been released after a 4X4 was used in a ram-raid at at jewellers in Leeds city centre this morning.

It happened just before 11:30 when a red Ford Ranger 4x4 was driven in to the front of Hymans Jewellers on Call Lane.
A number of masked people then entered the shop and stole jewellery before leaving the premises and abandoning the 4X4 at the scene.
They jumped into a blue Ford Focus, which was also later found abandoned.
Anyone with information about the ram-raid, or who witnessed what happened, is being asked to contact police:

A woman who paid just £46 for a flight to Crete has spoken of her amazement at being the only passenger on board the plane.
