  3. 'I'm happy'

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

    Wolves

Wolves boss Nuno Espírito Santo speaks to Sky Sports: "I think it was a good game, an intense game. I think first half was good. There was a second-half spell United dominated and created a lot of problems. We had our moments. I am happy. The boys worked very hard and it was tough.

"I think in the first half our idea was clear to control the middle of the pitch and we had a lot of counter attacks. It was good but it was a balanced game."

After half time? "Man Utd adjusted. It was harder to control Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka."

Traore injuries? "At half time Traore was in a lot of pain in the shoulder but continued. After it was a kick on the calf but he is ready to go."

  4. 'We are so disappointed'

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

    Manchester United

Man Utd left-back Luke Shaw speaks to Sky Sports: "It was a very tough game. We know Wolves will be a hard game defensively and offensively. They have great players. Their style makes it hard to score against them. We are so disappointed we couldn't get three points, especially with Chelsea dropping points it's annoying for us.

"We have played them so many times recently and it's always been a close game. Maybe you could see that today. I am just annoyed we haven't been able to finish with three points.

"I have struggled against Traore before but today I felt much stronger and better against him."

  5. 'A fair result'

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

    Wolves

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves speaking to Sky Sports: "To be honest, we wanted to win just as we want to win every game. But when you come to Old Trafford and you get a draw here, it's always good.

"We now have a week to prepare ourselves and then we go again.

"We wanted to play our game, have the ball and defend well. They had some chances at the end but that's normal. They wanted to win as they were at home but we controlled it and it's a fair result for both teams.

On playing against Bruno Fernandes: "It's always good playing against our teammates in our international team. I know him really well. I'm happy for him. He's at a great club in a fantastic league and now he can show everyone what he can do. He's a great player.

On playing at Old Trafford: "Our mentality is playing the same everywhere. It doesn't matter the stadium. We try to play our football and unfortunately we didn't get the win but we got a draw which isn't bad.

"Now let's take a rest and start preparing ourselves for what's coming."

  6. Traore dislocated shoulder

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

    Simon Stone

    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has just confirmed Adama Traore dislocated his shoulder in that first-half tangle with Harry Maguire.

"He was in a lot of pain," said Nuno. "But it has happened before - against Tottenham - he is a strong boy."

  7. Ighalo in flight, Fernandes delight

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

    Manchester United

Man Utd manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer speaks to BBC Sport: "e have played them three times now and they haven't scored yet. They are hard to work down, very structured.

"We passed, passed and passed. In the first half we didn't have enough movement, second half was much better.

"Bruno Fernandes will become a top footballer. Give him time and he will become a very good addition for us. We dropped him deeper to get him on the ball and I thought him and Fred did very well.

"His demeanor, smile, everything about him is a boost for everyone. He is a genuine lad, a top professional and he is a winner. Today we saw glimpses of his character and we will see more and more.

"Odion Ighalo is in the air and on his way. We will give him time to settle. He is a striker, has a physical presence and is a goalscorer so he will give us a lot. You would be thrilled [with the move] when you have been a Manchester United supporter your whole life and you've been working your whole life. Being the top scorer in the Africa Cup of Nations tells you a lot about the qualities we are going to get."

  8. 'Ole's big mistake was not replacing Lukaku'

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

    Chris Sutton

Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live's 606 phone-in

Ole has made mistakes. I think a big mistake was letting Romelu Lukaku go and not replacing him. I do think Ole needs to be given time, but the fact that United let Lukaku go and then bring in Odion Ighalo says to me that Ole got that one wrong.

  9. 'We dominated the game'

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a game as you expected really. We dominated the game, had loads of possession, they gave us problems on counter attacks and set plays.

"We've played so many games in the past few months the players are down to the barebones, Energy levels are down and the need a break.

"We got Bruno deeper on the ball for us. I felt we controlled the first half as well.

"In the second half we threatened a little bit more. I feel the ground staff must have moved the goal slightly to the right!

"Bruno is a top player. It's the first game. First half everyone was getting the ball into feet and Bruno is one of those who, when he gets into feet, he wants players moving in front of him and we didn't.

    "He'll be a top addition."

  10. 'It is all pretty underwhelming'

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

    Chris Sutton

Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live's 606 phone-in

Honestly, I don't know what to make of United anymore. One week they are good then they are bad for two weeks. It is all pretty underwhelming, it really is. Is that fair?

  11. 'We don't think about the top four'

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

    Wolves

Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo told BBC Sport: "It was a good performance at Old Trafford and a good game for us. United are a good team.

"It was balanced and both teams had chances and wanted to win. I'm happy with the performance.

"The game is changing so we have to find new solutions. We adjusted and created problems on the wide areas. We have to take advantage of our talent and I'm pleased.

On Wolves' record against the 'big six': "We go toe to toe with opponent. We don't measure ourselves by the big teams, it's about us.

"It's not about closing gaps or playing with the big six, it's about us and the spirit the squad has.

"We don't think about the top four. We now have a rest and during this break we will try to improve our game."

  12. MOTD running order

Newcastle versus Norwich must have been a shocker to be behind this game on Match of the Day.

Rest of the programme is a bit of a goal-fest though.

  13. 'Lacking quality in the final third'

    FT: Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

    Jonathan Greening

Former Manchester United midfielder on 5 live

Both teams are lacking quality in the final third - the last pass or a little bit of skill to create space to shoot has been lacking.

There has been no lack of effort, though. Both teams in the final 15 minutes have been trying hard to win the game.

Diogo Dalot should have done better with that free header to get United the win but just slipped at the final moment. Great chance to win the game for United in the last few seconds.

  14. Post update

    .

A point means Manchester United are sixth, behind Sheffield United.

Behind Sheffield United. Just writing that blows my mind - incredible performance by Chris Wilder's side to be still knocking about the top five at this stage of the season.

  15. FULL-TIME

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

All over. An instantly forgettable encounter.

  16. Post update

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

So close! Diogo Dalot cushions a header just wide of the post.

    That is surely that?

Thomas Knights: Anthony Martial has been worse than woeful today. Seems to need Rashford alongside him for him to put any effort. A lot lot lot more needed from him.

Eyobele: What is absolutely shocking is Ole’s attitude. It seems like he is ok with the draw! First change at the 75’...James still on the pitch ?? Why not give a chance to Dalot’s speed or Lingard ?!

Ash Williams: For all United’s possession, at home, they’ve not really troubled Wolves. Teams are no longer afraid of going to Old Trafford.

  18. Post update

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

Daniel Podence's shot on the turn is blocked as Wolves put a bit of pressure on the hosts in the final few seconds.

  19. SUBSTITUTION

    Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

Final change for Wolves as Leander Dendoncker replaces Raul Jimenez, who is in no rush to get off the pitch. The visitors appear to be happy enough with the point.

Aditya Thakker: Wan Bissaka's crossing approach is much akin to Ole's tactical approach. Just toss them in and hope for the best.

Chris Arkwright: RE Andrew 19:05 - equal apparent from money spent on player and wage bills, United should be aiming for more then drawing with Wolves at home
