  2. 'We knew we had to give everything'

    Wolves 1-2 Liverpool

    Liverpool

Liverpool goalscorer Jordan Henderson to BBC Sport: "I haven't scored many [with my head]. It's a great delivery and great movement from Gini. Thankfully I got my head on it.

"We knew it would be difficult coming here. They're a tough team. We knew we had to give everything. We did and managed to find the winning goal. We had chances to put the game to bed. The lads were brilliant again and kept going.

"We just keep going in the games, no matter what the score is or how the momentum is. That's put us in good stead. We've got to keep the momentum going, keep improving and keep winning games.

"He [Adama Traore] is very tough, strong, powerful, quick. He's difficult to play against. But the lads did brilliantly against him. I thought we did really well with that."

Johnny Ward: Great result. Awful for Mane, but with the mid-season break coming, Sadio can sit out West Ham, Southampton and FA cup with Shrewsbury, that gives him almost 4 weeks until the Champions League with Atletico.

SMS Message: After that result, Liverpool are safe from relegation. from Richard

  7. 'Nothing to be disappointed about'

    FT: Wolves 1-2 Liverpool

    Wolves

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo to BBC Sport: "It was a good game. We played well. There is nothing to be disappointed about. Getting the momentum was important.

"We defended well, we were well organised. We have to look at that [conceding a set-piece].

"This is what we want. We want to compete and keep on growing.

"We had in the last moment of the game [the chance to equalise]. It's about creating. Things will come naturally.

"I'm happy when we perform well. We faced a fantastic team. This is the standards we want."

  8. 'Magic moment from Bobby'

    FT: Wolves 1-2 Liverpool

    Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaking to BBC Sport: "We scored a wonderful goal, we had wonderful possession but the set up from Wolves is so good - yes it's counter-attacking but it’s about being well in possession, using the width of the pitch.

"The goal from a counter-attack doesn’t make sense when you’re one nil up but ok. We weren't 100% clear what we wanted to do, you try to have a positive optimistic approach.

"We changed the system two or three times, we calmed it down. We had incredible chances in the first half and then at the end it was a magic moment from Bobby [Firmino].

"The boys are human. It was a little bit up and down. We had discussion on the pitch, there was stuff to improve but set-pieces can bring us back in the game, a good bit of skill can bring us back in the game. Wolves were really strong but it’s clear we could settle again.

"You just have to find a way to win and have someone who makes the perfect decision and that was Bobby again."

On Sadio Mane's injury: "Sadio is a real shame he had to go off. Hopefully it’s not too bad -just a muscle tweak but we will see tomorrow."

On Wolves' Adama Traore: "He is unplayable in moments, it’s unbelievable. What a player – it’s not only him but he’s so good."

  9. FULL-TIME

    FT: Tranmere 2-1 Watford

All over at Prenton Park. Tranmere have knocked Watford out of the FA Cup with a goal in extra-time!

    Reaction here.

  10. 'We will fight to the end'

    FT: Wolves 1-2 Liverpool

    Wolves

Wolves winger Adama Traore speaking to BT Sport: "The team did well today. We worked hard throughout the game. Sad we didn't get the win or the draw but we have to keep pushing, working and taking the positive things, fight to the end.

"He said we have to keep going, not concede, keep pushing, keep fighting for each ball. So that's what we did. We went 100%. Me and Raul Jimenez had different roles today. We worked so hard today. Disappointed not to take points but we take the experience.

"We don't forget they are a great team, an amazing team and one of the best - or the best in Europe. Conratulations to them, how they are going in the league but we fight. We will fight to the end."

  11. 'It's over when it's over'

    FT: Wolves 1-2 Liverpool

    Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaking to BT Sport: "It was a big one. Nuno [Espirito Santo] is doing really well. They are really different to a lot of other teams because they use the width of the pitch. We did well but if you close Adama Traore outside, he goes inside, so then you have to deal with the cross and deal with Raul Jimenez!

"They scored that goal and then it's another wild 10 minutes. We got control back a little bit after then which is important. The chances we had were incredible. We were at least four or five times in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper so if we score then it is game over but it wasn't so 1-1.

"Moments can help us or the genius moment of Bobby Firmino can help us. We didn't panic but we weren't completely in the mood I wanted us to be in when we went 1-0 up. The development of the game has influence on each individual on the pitch. One sees a chance, sees the space, but others aren't in the same mindset. That was the story of the game.

"So much to improve for us but knowing if we defend really well... Everybody worked their socks off. I'm so proud of the boys. It's incredible.

"It's over when it's over, not before. So why should we really think about it? Let's carry on. It's difficult enough. We have to find solutions for the different games then we will see."

  12. 'We had to dig deep'

    FT: Wolves 1-2 Liverpool

    Liverpool

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk speaking to BT Sport: "I think first of all we have to give Wolves credit - they played good, they have good players and they’re a difficult team to break down.

"In the second half they had chances and were more dangerous and we had to dig deep.

"We’re not happy with the goal we conceded but we know we’ll always have chances and it’s really good result."

  13. Post update

  15. 'I am very happy'

    FT: Wolves 1-2 Liverpool

    Wolves

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to BT Sport: "Very good performance. Defensively we were organised and we played good. We created chances and the momemtum was there but we faced a very good team. I am very happy with the boys. Small margins.

On Adama Traore: "He is unique. He has stuff that nobody else has. And talent. There is a lot of space to grow."

On pushing Liverpool to the end: "It says we want to compete and improve. What was missing today we have to search for next week so we can compete better."

  16. 'Every game is the biggest'

    FT: Wolves 1-2 Liverpool

    Liverpool

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson speaking to BT Sport: "You know it's going to be difficult. Wolves are a good team and make you work. It's an intense game but we kept going and kept fighting.

"We defended well. The big man at the back was brilliant again and the keeper. We had chances too so that's something we want to work on - put the game to bed quicker.

On his headed goal: "That could be the first one! I've been getting in the box on corners recently. Thankfully I managed to get something on it and it went in.

On an unbeaten season: "You're probably bored of me saying it but It's just about the next game. I want to keep going. Every game is the biggest of the season. We have the FA Cup game on the weekend. We need to keep bulding on what we have achieved so far."
