Wimbledon: Djokovic and Norrie among middle Sunday winners

So, we're halfway there and it's been another action-packed day at Wimbledon as a British player reached the men's quarter-finals and the centenary of Centre Court was celebrated. Here's a round-up of some of the highlights:

Nick Kyrgios is up against 20-year-old American Brandon Nakashima first on Centre Court, with Rafael Nadal closing the day against Botic van de Zandschulp.

In between the pair is an enticing match-up between women's fourth seed Paula Badosa and 2019 champion Simona Halep.

Novak Djokovic, speaking after his fourth-round win over Tim van Rijthoven on Centre Court: "He was a very tough opponent, and on a streak on this surface, so I knew it wasn't going to be easy with that serve and his touch and a lot of talent. It took me a little bit of time to get used to his pace and the conditions under the roof, but overall I closed out the match well.

"I didn't know if there was an 11pm curfew, so I am lucky to get it done. I have had some previous experience of playing a match over two days under the roof against Nadal a couple of years back and it wasn't fun, so I am glad I did get it done and now I am just looking forward to the next challenge."

On being part of the parade of champions earlier on Sunday to mark 100 years of Centre Court: "It was an incredible honour and privilege and I was so happy to stand alongside champions of this tournament and also legends of this sport. This place has a special place in my heart, my life and my career.

"I watched my first match when I was four on TV when Pete Sampras won his first title here. That made me fall in love with this sport and I dreamed of winning at Wimbledon. Every time you step out on Centre Court you can feel everything that is special about this place."

Tim van Rijthoven receives a huge cheer as he leaves the court after he delighted the crowd with a fine display, particularly in that second set.

But how impressive was that response from Novak Djokovic. He claims he wasn't sure if the 23:00 BST curfew was still a thing but he certainly played like he was on a mission to beat it.

There's also a thank you from the defending champ in his post-match chat to the crowd and Royal Box attendees for sticking around as the clock ticks on to 22:45.

There are suddenly a lot of empty seats on Centre Court. It was never full, but there is a fairly even balance of empty green seats and spectators now.

The contest is all but over. A 13th Wimbledon quarter-final is a service game away for the defending champion, who has pulled through impressively after his second-set setback.

That's a hold to 15 for Djokovic and he only needs two more games for the win. Van Rijthoven trying to still be in the tournament tomorrow, Djokovic with one eye on the clock, desperately wanting to wrap this up tonight.

Tim van Rijthoven still believes and is still fighting hard. He saves a break point and holds his serve. He still needs to break and hasn't looked like doing that in a long time, but he's still there.

But Djokovic goes long with a looping forehand and we're at deuce.

Novak Djokovic has not lost a match at Wimbledon since retiring due to injury against Tomas Berdych in the quarter-finals in 2017.

A 25th successive victory at Wimbledon tonight would see him equal Pete Sampras in fourth place on the Open era's list of longest unbeaten runs at SW19.

It was never going to be easy for Tim van Rijthoven. The reigning champion appears to have let the wildcard have his moment in the limelight, only to push him off stage, grab hold of the mic and carry on with his show.

He's three games away from the last eight and any hopes of an upset are quickly vacating Centre Court.
