It may have been celebrated in an empty stadium but it doesn't lessen the importance of the win for Sevilla. Six Uefa Cup/Europa League trophies - they truly are the kings of the tournament.

That is it from us but we will be back again on Sunday for the Champions League final. See you later!

  2. 'There's a lot of bad feeling, but this must be a starting point'

    Sevilla 3-2 Inter Milan

Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, speaking to Sky Sports: “There’s a lot of bad feeling, but we need to keep going forward. As I’ve already said, it’s a point of departure and we hope to play in many more of these games.

I think that the game could’ve gone differently. It was a meeting between two open teams that wanted to win.”

Asked on what Inter can take from this experience into next season: “As a starting point, we definitely need to improve in these types of games. We’ll prepare as best we can. Sevilla are a tough opponent. Congrats to them but we need to look forward.”

"We had three penalties in the last three matches in the first five minutes but our team never surrenders."

Olayinka Oderinde: Genuinely happy for Julen Lopetegui. Sacked by Spain days before the 2018 World Cup & show the exit door just four months at Real Madrid and now he's just won his first trophy as a manager. Redemption

  5. 'The group and the fans deserve this'

    Sevilla 3-2 Inter Milan

  6. 'We are like a family'

    Sevilla 3-2 Inter Milan

Sevilla goalscorer Luuk de Jong, speaking to BT Sport: "It is incredible. We had such tough games all tournament but we played so well as a team. We were like a family, worked together. It didn't matter who came in. It was tough. We started well but they scored out of nothing. Two goals, amazing feeling for me.

"The manager told me this morning [I was starting]. I told him I am always ready when he needs me and today it worked really well."

On his two headed goals: "I think it is my speciality. The first cross by Navas was perfect, the second was also a great cross and these headers are really special when you can put them in at the near post."

SMS Message: Inter can take heart from Sevillas last victims. Liverpool reach the UCL final two years later and won it the year after. Ajax also reached the UCL semis 2 years after losing the Europa League to Man United. Both sides arguably soon surpassed the teams they lost the Europa League to. from Michael

Abdhakeem Olayiwola: Inter search for cup glory continues... Very sad Lukaku had to end the season with a bad touch...A great goal scorer from statistics but not a scorer of great goals.

Amrul Choudhury: Christian Eriksen. UCL Runners-up 2019 and Europa League Runners-up 2020. The new Michael 'Bridesmaid' Ballack?

Petey: I wonder who will win the Sevilla cup next year?
