  1. Brady's Buccaneers are champions

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

What a night! Many suspected Tom Brady would get a seventh ring, and we thought that Tampa defence would trouble Patrick Mahomes and his banged-up protection, but the Kansas City Chiefs were outplayed in every facet of the game.

Trust brady to find his old mate Rob Gronkowski just when it mattered, for two touchdowns, with another former team-mate Antonio Brown adding another as mahomes suffered his worst game, and worst defeat, in his short NFL career.

While it's back to the drawing board for the Chiefs, the Buccaneers can look forward to defending their title next season with now seven-time winner Brady at the helm once again.

  2. Bruce will be back

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians is joining Tom Brady in returning next season to try and defend their Super Bowl title.

"Hell no I'm not going anywhere, I'm coming back and trying to get two! Then we'll see after that.

"We've got a great staff, great team, hopefully we can keep most of them and try to repeat."

  3. Gronk revels in greatness

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rob Gronkowski as low-key and understated as ever in his post-game press conference, saying that winning the Super Bowl with Tom Brady in their first year in Tampa is: "Hands down one of the greatest accomplishments in sports history."

  4. Mahomes - They beat us pretty good

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Patrick Mahomes fronted up to the media after the game, and admitted that his Chiefs had taken a pretty sound beating.

"Obviously I didn’t play the way I wanted to play, but all you can is leave everything you have on the field and I felt like the guys did that. They were the better team today, they beat us pretty good, the worst I’ve been beaten in a long time, but I’m proud of how the guys fought until the end of the game.

"We didn’t end the season the way we wanted to, we’ll learn from what went right and what went wrong this season and we’ll be able to wipe that slate clean and come back next season and do everything we can to get back to the Super Bowl again."

  5. Arians a popular winner

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bruce Arians is an enigma in the NFL, and the 68-year-old becomes the oldest head coach to win a Super Bowl after coming out of retirement to take charge of the Bucs.

It looks like a good decision now. He's got the most diverse staff in the NFL and he typically refused to take any credit for this victory.

"This really belongs to our coaching staff and our players, I didn’t do a damn thing!"

  6. Brady: I'll be back

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady paid tribute to his team after collecting his fifth Super Bowl MVP award.

"I'm so proud of all these guys down here, all the rough things we went through, we came together at the right time and I think we kind of new this was going to happen didn’t we!

"I’m not making any comparisons, coming down here and playing with this group of guys is amazing, we’re world champions forever and you can't take this away from us and I'm so proud of these guys."

Brady was asked about next season, and worryingly for the rest of the league said he'd be back to defend the title: "Yeah, of course we're coming back."

  7. Chiefs humbled

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    Jason Bell

Former NFL cornerback for the Houston Texans

This defeat is humbling for the Chiefs, no doubt. They’re going to want to get the taste of this out of their mouth. This was a terrible performance and I didn’t like the way they reacted to adversity, the way they were talking to each other when they got down wasn’t right. They'll have to bounce back next season.

  8. Brady celebrates

Chris Lee: Brady- GOAT! That guy is exceptional, what he's done at the Buccaneers is incredible! His dedication is admirable, a true professional! That Buccaneers defense was phenomenal, completely nullified Mahomes threat.

Keiran Fleming: Will there ever be anyone like Tom Brady again? The man defys the laws of nature. He is not just the most successful player but he has won more superbowls than any team in the NFL. Does the game just stop after he retires? Will there ever be anyone like Tom Brady again? 11. Respect

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady knows Patrick Mahomes did the best he could, and produced some amazing moments but it was not his night tonight.

  12. Brady in seventh heaven

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Well, what do we say about that? Tom Brady wins his seventh ring - he's won more Super Bowl wins than any team in the NFL has managed in history, and he's not done yet either, he'll be back next season!

It's not all Brady, this game was won in the trenches, especially the defensive front of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who did not give Patrick Mahomes a second to try and get his throws off, he was running for his life all night long.

Brady will get the plaudits, and rightly so for his achievements, but this was a complete team showing by Bruce Arians' side, to limit this Chiefs offence to nine points and no touchdowns is a monumental effort.

Tampa Bay, though definitely saw the benefit of the Brady factor this year - as the team with one of the worst winning percentages in all of American sports now Super Bowl champions once again!

  13. Full-time - Brady's Bucs win the Super Bowl!

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

You just knew it didn't you!? Tom Brady was in no mood to hand over to Patrick Mahomes as he wins his seventh Super Bowl and Tampa Bay win their second - the first team to ever play at their home stadium and they get the job done!

  14. Turnover - interception

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

One last punch in the gut for the Chiefs to stomach as Mahomes is intercepted in the end zone by Devin White when he was trying to at least get a touchdown on the board but Kecle can't hold on and yet again the Bucs win the battle for the ball.

  15. Two-minute warning

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Kansas City have the ball, but not really any hope and it's that awkward little period of the game now when everyone knows who's going to be lifting that trophy but the clock still has to wind down.

We expected the Tampa Bay defence to be critical to this game, but we never really expected them to be so dominant. It's been an exhibition from Todd Bowles.

  16. Post update

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mahomes is back on the field, although the way he's been treated by the Tampa Bay defensive line then he probably wishes he wasn't.

The greatest sportsman of all time?

  18. Turnover on downs

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Yet again Mahomes is on the run and has to throw up a hopeful pass, that Hill can't catch under pressure from Winfield. The Tampa Bay man then produces some needless taunting that costs his side a penalty and some yards - terrible from him but it won't change this game now.

Would love to know how far Mahomes has run tonight - and most of it in the wrong direction.

  19. Huge hit

Kansas City Chiefs 9-31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mahomes takes another big shot, this time from Suh, as he's trying to make a big play, but he just doesn't have time tonight for those types of throws.
