Social media star Joe Sugg signs up for Strictly 2018

In a Strictly first, vlogger Joe Sugg – known to his eight million (and counting) subscribers as ThatcherJoe – is joining our celebrity line-up.

If you love social media, you’ve probably heard of Joe Sugg. In fact, you probably follow him on every social network, watch all of his YouTube videos – oh, and you *might* have heard of his internet-famous sister Zoella too…

But now he'll be juggling his online life alongside something completely new: dancing. “My knowledge of dance isn't the best, so I'm just going to go into it completely open minded,” he said. And as for his impending Strictly makeover? “I do feel pretty nervous about it. I just hope they have child sizes as I'm tiny!”

When he’s not preparing for his Strictly experience, social media superstar Joe can be found sharing his daily life through his YouTube channels ThatcherJoe, ThatcherJoeVlogs and ThatcherJoeGames, all nodding to his prior training as a roof thatcher. However, he hasn’t looked back since setting up his first channel in 2011, and is now one of the most successful online stars in the world.

Vlogging aside, Joe’s also starred in BBC series Joe and Caspar Hit the Road alongside fellow YouTuber Caspar Lee, and is the mastermind behind the fastest-selling graphic novel of recent times, Username: Evie.
