New record for world's oldest man Jiroemon Kimura

A Japanese man has been named the world's oldest for the second year in a row by Guinness World Records.

Jiroemon Kimura, who was born in April 1897, is the last known man to live across three centuries.

If he lives until 27 December 2012, he will become the oldest man ever documented.

The current holder of the title, Danish-American Christian Mortensen, lived to the age of 115 years 252 days.
