Protests in Bahrain following the death of a prisoner

Police have clashed with protesters in the Bahraini capital of Manama after the funeral of Mohammed Ali Ahmed Mushaima, a protester who died while serving a seven year jail sentence.

Clashes erupted when riot police stopped hundreds of mourners trying to march to the Pearl Roundabout, the centre of last year's uprising.

Petrol bombs and stones were thrown at the police who used water cannons to disperse the crowd.
