Annie Lennox sets off on her journey to find out more about her ancestors

Annie Lennox shot to fame in the 1980s as one half of the band Eurythmics. Today she has a successful solo career and is an active campaigner on humanitarian issues. She knows her immediate background is working class and poor and that her family believed in doing the right thing.

Although her own life has turned out to be very different, she has tremendous respect for that and knows that she retains those values. She wants to discover the generations beyond her grandparents, whom she knew well. Whether what she finds out is extraordinary or disappointing she wants to take the risk and find out, she wants to go on an adventure.
