In pictures: Celebrity art in wildlife auction
A request for celebrities' artwork for an auction by a Dorset wildlife charity has attracted more than 50 original drawings from politicians, musicians, comedians and actors, including this piece by Joanna Lumley.
Dorset Wildlife Trust wrote to the celebrities asking them to contribute. Included with the letter were watercolour paper and an ink pad for them to use. Fearne Cotton has donated a sketch of a fox and hedgehog.
Each person was asked to start the picture with their finger, foot, toe, nose or even ear print. David Cameron used a fingerprint as the head for his ewe.
Fiona Sansom, from the trust, said: “The celebrities were asked to make a sketch of an animal or plant of Britain." Actress Prunella Scales donated this picture of a duck created from a footprint.
Singer Daniel O'Donnell was influenced by his Irish roots with this three-leafed shamrock.
And Robin Cousins produced this picture of an ice-skating cow.
Actress Felicity Kendal came up with this creation. The trust's eBay auction starts on 4 November and runs over the winter, with all proceeds going to the protection of Dorset’s wildlife.
