Cumbrian woman, 96, completes Hadrian's Wall walk

A 96-year-old woman from Cumbria has walked the length of Hadrian's Wall for charity.

Thought to be one of the oldest women to complete the challenge, Doris Hancock, from Ambleside, set off on her 84-mile (135km) trek from Wallsend in March.

She walked five miles (8km) a day for two consecutive days every month until she reached the finish line at Bowness-on-Solway.

The retired teacher took part in the walk to raise money for Centrepoint, a charity that helps homeless young people.
