Despite being released twenty-one years ago Massive Attack's is far from coming of age - it did that years ago. Since 1991 tracks like Safe From Harm and Unfinished Sympathy have become some of the most iconic and loved electronic music tracks of the past three decades, while the band have influenced a whole host of other musicians with both their music and their electrifying live show.

This week the record was re-released, remastered and still sounding as fresh as ever and we at Now Playing thought what better excuse do we need to celebrate the mighty Bristolians with a two hour playlist based on the band and picked entirely by you.

Blue Lines will also be Classic Album of the Day on Friday and we want you to pick tracks which shout Massive Attack, the record in question, Bristol and Trip-Hop. For example:
• The best track from Blue Lines itself, or any other Massive Attack song be it single, B-side or rariety
Neneh Cherry who initially funded the band as well as Portishead and Tricky
• Fellow Bristolians who’ve utilized electronic sounds from Burial to Julio Bashmore
• People they’ve collaborated with which is as wide ranging as Madonna to Horace Andy through Sinead O’Conner, Mos Def and David Bowie
• Or other exponents of trip-hop like DJ Shadow and the sounds that inspired from Gorillaz to The Flaming Lips.

There’s so much stuff to get your teeth into here so let us know what you want to hear by leaving a comment on this blog or Facebook, Tweet #MA6Music, e-mail us your suggestion or drag a track onto our collaborative Spotify playlist – and remember to tune into 6 Music from 6pm on Sunday for two hours of music inspired by Massive Attack.
