Pioneering dementia-friendly community in Bruges

An estimated 800,000 people in the UK live with dementia, a condition that can deprive them of their memories and alter their personalities.

As the number of people with the difficult-to-diagnose condition continues to rise each year, ways of dealing with it become ever more important.

The Belgian city of Bruges has been recognised as a pioneer in the issue, as Jenny Hill reports.
