Braintree Town striker Michael Bakare is expected to be out for up to 10 weeks after suffering a broken leg in a road accident.

Bakare, 27, was a passenger in a car when the accident happened on Monday.

The former Southport and Macclesfield forward joined the Iron in the summer and has scored once in 11 games.

"He was in a car crash and has a hairline fracture of his leg. I feel sorry for the kid," boss Alan Devonshire told BBC Essex.

"I've got to really try and get somebody else in if I can."
