The New Delhi taxi service run by women, for women

Women are finding it easier to make their way around the sometimes dangerous streets of New Delhi by using a taxi service run by women, for women.

The service was started three years ago by businesswomen, as part of an effort to make women feel safe on the streets of a city which was referred to as India's 'rape capital'.

However, its importance has only come into focus after the brutal gang rape and murder of a 23-year-old woman on a bus last December.
