Local elections: UKIP's Paul Nuttall and Green Caroline Lucas

Newspaper allegations about the private lives of UKIP candidates were "sad, dirty, and we are not going to respond" says the party's deputy leader.

Paul Nuttall told Andrew Neil he blamed "dirty tricks" from the Conservatives looking into past social media postings by UKIP members.

Green MP Caroline Lucas claimed hers was the only party fighting the spare room subsidy, that she called the "bedroom tax".

And she said "the environment has to be something at the top of the agenda" as the Sunday Politics looked at UKIP and Green campaigning ahead of Thursday's local elections, after they watched a film on their campaigns in Sussex.
