US sending nuclear experts and radiation equipment to Japan

Radiation levels have fallen at Japan's earthquake-stricken Fukushima nuclear power plant after a third explosion and a fire, officials say.

Specialist American equipment to monitor radiation levels is due to arrive in Japan.

The US is sending a team of 34 experts to advise on containing any leaks of radiation and to make a more detailed assessment of the state of the reactors.
