Huddersfield battled back from 2-0 down to beat nine-man Plymouth.
Joe Mason scored after 54 seconds but they had Curtis Nelson sent off for a professional foul before Mason added a second from just inside the area.
Kari Arnason's own goal gave Town hope and Jordan Rhodes' half-volley from 18 yards levelled the the scores.
Peter Clarke scrambled home a winner before Argyle, who also had manager Peter Reid dismissed, saw Stephane Zubar sent off for a second booking.
Huddersfield manager Lee Clark told BBC Radio Leeds: "The main thing is points, but I try to be honest and open and the fans were well within their rights tonight (to boo).
"That wasn't a performance that I was happy with and you could probably say that because we were 11 against 9 for a lot of the game is the reason we got away with it.
"We've given two shocking goals away, fought back well in the first half, but in the second half our passing wasn't at the standard it should be.
Plymouth Argyle manager Peter Reid told BBC Radio Devon: "It's always hard when you lose men but my players showed plenty of spirit although I don't think our defending was great.
"The players have put in a real good shift, they worked hard and kept it going but unfortunately we couldn't do enough to get anything out of the game.
"It's a pity that they (referees) can't come out to the media and have a chat with you, but my take on the decisions is that it will be difficult for me to speak about it."
