Violent clashes at Yemeni protest

At least 12 people have been injured after police fired warning shots during fierce clashes in Yemen's capital Sanaa.

Pro and anti-government protesters have been battling for a week and violence is escalating.

There are also reports of clashes in several other towns across the country including the port city of Aden.

Iona Craig, a freelance journalist, gave the BBC her account of the days events.
