Overnight Nato air strikes on Tripoli hit Gaddafi targets

NATO says air strikes on the Libyan capital, Tripoli, in the early hours of Tuesday morning hit important intelligence agency buildings and a training base used by by Colonel Gaddafi's bodyguards.

A Libyan spokesman said earlier that the buildings had no military value. The air strikes came just hours after Colonel Gaddafi's compound was bombed again.
