Audio slideshow: Foraging for food
A few hours drive from the Armenian capital Yerevan, the effects of rising food prices and climate change mean that family life in the mountains is becoming harder.
Parents forage for plant roots to feed their children, meat is rarely eaten, and unusually late frosts have threatened to ruin crops of apples and apricots.
For the charity Oxfam, journalist Alex Renton travelled to the region to see for himself how people are surviving as the prices of staple foods - wheat flour, pasta and rice - become prohibitive.
