Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will oversee proceedings as the eight remaining couples take to the floor. The actual Tower itself will also be lit up in spectacular fashion as the famous venue promises to provide an illuminating night of dance, drama, music and laughs for the whole family. An extra special treat for viewers is also in store as one of the nation’s best loved bands, Take That, will perform their brand new single in the ballroom.

Take That say: “Looking forward to seeing everyone when we perform on Strictly's annual special at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. We love playing Strictly and the Blackpool crowd are always up for a big night out!”

Judge Craig Revel Horwood says: “I am thrilled that Strictly is returning to Blackpool once again this year - our yearly trip there is one of my highlights of the series! The Blackpool Tower ballroom is simply one of the most stunning ballrooms in the world and there is a real magic to the place. Not only is it stunning, but the unique sprung dance floor provides an extra challenge for our celebrities as well. I cannot wait to get back there!”

Strictly Come Dancing's executive producer, Louise Rainbow, says: “Blackpool has been the home to many very special Strictly moments. Who can forget Judy Murray flying up on balloons last year or 2013's spectacular group performance with dancers aged eight to 80 to Young Hearts Run Free? Our annual visit to Blackpool really is the time when the competition hots up for our couples.”

Audiences can also expect all the usual sparkle and razzamatazz that comes with the yearly Blackpool spectacular, including a special group performance by the eight remaining couples that will make it to Blackpool week.

Strictly Come Dancing will be live from Blackpool Tower on Saturday 21 November with the results show airing on Sunday 22 November on BBC One.
