Insurers will today release a list of the areas in England and Wales where they claim up to 200,000 households face flooding in coming years.

They say at-risk homes could find they cannot get flood insurance cover when existing insurance arrangements between the insurance industry and the government run out in 2013.

Meanwhile the Public Accounts Committee raises concerns today as to whether there will be enough money to maintain and improve necessary flood defences.

Areas identified as particularly vulnerable to flooding and with the largest numbers of homes at risk include Skegness, Folkestone, Windsor and Runnymede in Surrey.

Councillor Derek Cotty, chair of the local flood forum in Runnymede, outlines his concerns, while Environment minister Richard Benyon responds.
