Art by animals exhibition opens in London

Help

An exhibition of works of art from several species of animal has opened in central London.

Art by Animals features work by elephants, orang-utans, gorillas and chimps and includes a painting of a flowerpot by Boon Mee, formerly a logging elephant in Thailand.

Jack Ashby and Will Tuck, of the Grant Museum of Zoology at University College London, have trawled zoos around the world to find examples to display.

They believe they are the first to exhibit multiple species' paintings and to attempt to take a broad view of the phenomenon.
