The funeral has taken place of Pembrokeshire-based artist John Knapp-Fisher, 83.

He was known for his landscape and seascape paintings, many of which were inspired by south west Wales. He moved to the area in the 1960s after being born in London.

He died at Withybush General Hospital in Haverfordwest in February after being ill for some time.

His funeral took place at Llanrhian church on Saturday.

In 1992 he was elected a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art and much of his work was inspired by scenery near his studio in Croesgoch and the harbour at Porthgain.
