Jerry Collins: Former All Blacks perform haka at roadside

A group of former New Zealand rugby players paid tribute to late All Black Jerry Collins by performing the haka at the side of a French motorway.

Collins, 34, and his wife Alana died in a car accident near a toll booth in Beziers on 5 June, and their 10-week-old baby daughter remains in hospital.

Several former All Blacks playing in France performed a traditional Maori war dance in tribute.

Neemia Tialata of Toulouse stood alongside Toulon pair Ali Williams and Chris Masoe as vehicles sped past in the background.

"Saying goodbye to the brother and his partner the way we were all brought together," tweeted Tialata., external

It is unclear if the haka takes place in the exact area where Collins died, but the players dance around a white cross placed in the ground.

Collins, who had been playing for Narbonne, made 48 appearances for New Zealand.
