Kimi Raikkonen drove a storming race last week, and today it looked like Vettel, could be back with that overtake on Ricciardo, and Hamilton. He took second overall, which is his first time on the podium in three disappointing races - the last time he was competitive was in Spa, when he won, but that was months ago.
So, is it the end of their errors?
Perhaps, but it’s too late now.

'We have huge potential'
Lewis Hamilton wins fifth world title
Sebastian Vettel tells Sky Sports: "I'm looking forward to getting out of here and stop answering questions. There can only be one winner and he (Lewis Hamilton) is the one who deserves it.
"There are still a lot of lessons to learn to make sure we make the right conclusions. We are a very talented and gifted team, we have the most support behind us and very clever people behind us.
"We have huge potential, everyone is fighting hard to make sure we finish the last two races and win the constructors title and knock them off their crown. I will try everything to score as many points as I can."
"Some people will call you crazy, others will say it’s impossible. Trust it from me, anything is possible if you follow your heart and see it through."
The Mexican Grand Prix podium has more of an Ibiza feel to it thanks to superstar DJ Armin van Buuren banging out the hits at an alarmingly high volume.

'I feel like I can take the car to places that nobody else can'
Lewis Hamilton says: "Throughout the year there was a lot of testing times for us even when we didn't have the package and were on the back foot sometimes, but we had the belief in the team that we could come out with something good even though we went the quickest.
"It took some special laps, and some special moments in the car. I could relive those moments, some of them were magical. I truly believed we could win the championship. So much work has been going on in the garage, and behind the scenes and with strategy and set up and that's been key.
"I feel like I can drive anything and I feel like I can take the car to places that nobody else can and to do that you have tot get the car in the right place, work with the team to unleash the greatness in the car and unleash the greatness in yourself."
