Gang members 'experience PTSD equal to troops in war'

Gang members in the capital are experiencing levels of post-traumatic stress disorder equal to troops in a war zone, experts have said.

Research by criminologists in London suggests living with violence, abuse at home and drug use all lead to high levels of paranoia, anxiety and depression.

It is thought better understanding of gang members' mental health could be key in tackling London's issues with gun and knife crime.
