Without a myriad of players they played some really good football and turned dominance into a win thanks to a brilliant late goal.
Wales have kept clean sheets in six successive competitive games, winning five of them.
They are top of their Nations League group and the only thing stopping it being a perfect night was an injury to Wayne Hennessey, but hopefully it won't be too serious.
So that's pretty much all from me tonight, other than to wish your team well in Friday's transfer deadline day and to remind you that a certain guy called Gareth Frank Bale makes his Premier League return this weekend.
No more popular a goalscorer than Williams - Giggs
FT: Bulgaria 0-1 Wales
Wales manager Ryan Giggs told Sky Sports: "I thought we deserved the win, we played so well in the first half, it got scrappy at times in the second half but we kept going.
"That is a good trait to have, scoring late goals is too, so it is a really proud moment for a young team.
"I'm also proud because they kept trying to play the right way.
"We have players missing but it has given the chance for players to come in.
"Jonny has always played really well for me, I know he can come on and make an impact and he did.
"There will be no more popular a player to score the goal than him."
While we wait to bring you Ryan Giggs' thoughts... a public service reminder...
If you missed the late drama from Sofia this evening fear not, you can catch all the highlights on Match of the Day very soon.
In 27 minutes, to be precise.

Amazing to make Wales debut
FT: Bulgaria 0-1 Wales
Wales debutant Rhys Norrington-Davies told Sky Sports: "It was an amazing feeling, Ryan Giggs has put his trust in me and the main thing is we went out and got three points.
"I play five at the back at club football so I knew my responsibilities and I thought we did well in that system tonight.
"We keep on trying to break teams down, we had threatened in the first half and it wasn't to be but we were relentless.
"If you keep working you will always get opportunities.
"And it was a superb finish from Jonny, he deserves it."

'I wondered if it would ever come'
FT: Bulgaria 0-1 Wales
Winning goalscorer Jonny Williams told Sky Sports: "It's an amazing moment, I wondered if I would ever get my first goal for Wales but here we are.
"When we saw the group we wanted to be favourites to win it and we have given ourselves a great chance now.
"We are missing some key players so to come away from here with three points is brilliant.
"We have built a foundation where we keep a lot of clean sheets and we know if we keep going we have a chance."

963 days without a goal...
FT: Bulgaria 0-1 Wales
No wonder Jonny Williams' smile was so big.
That was his first goal for anyone since he scored for Sunderland against Middlesbrough in February 2018.... 963 days ago.
It was also his first Wales goal.
I hope I've adequately conveyed just how good the goal was, because it was a sensational finish.
We had a lot of players out and were away from home, yet despite that, we had players on the bench who were able to come on and make a real difference.

Bulgaria are a poor side, a really poor side, but Wales went out there tonight and did a really good job.
There are lots of positives.
FULL-TIME - Bulgaria 0-1 Wales
Wales win it thanks to yet another late goal.
Ryan Giggs is delighted and so are the Wales players.
Jonny Williams' smile is a lovely sight for a player who has endured plenty of down moments since Euro 2016.
The kings of the late goal are ahead and it's the reverse of the goal that won them the game in Cardiff.
This time Neco Williams is the provider and Jonny Williams is the scorer, with Williams' teasing cross expertly turned home by the Charlton midfielder.
It's a truly brilliant finish, hooking the ball home as he charged into the box at full pace.
